Tabraiz Shamsi Fined 50 Percent Of HIs Match Fees!

The South African spinner, Tabraiz Shamsi, received a fine of 50 percent of his match fees. According to the match officials, it was a ‘serious dissent.’Furthermore, one of the officials said that it was a level two breach of the code of conduct of the tournament which the South African bowler committed. He received the fine during the finals of the Caribbean Premier League.

In the match, Tabraiz Shamsi received fine of 50 percent match fees. The finals took place between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders on September 9. Trinbago Knight Riders won the match by three wickets after Kevon Cooper’s brilliance.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots posted a low score on the board in the finals of the biggest party of the summer, Caribbean Premier League. However, Trinbago Knight Riders suffered a collapse in the second innings which made the match more interesting. During the tight bowling spell by the Patriots’ bowlers, they almost got another wicket. In the 13th over of the second innings, Tabraiz Shamsi thought that he provided his team with another breakthrough to close in on winning the title. However, the umpire turned the decision down.

According to the South African, it was a straight ball which would have hit the stumps. After the umpire turned the decision down, the Chinaman showed his anger and frustrations towards the umpire. As a result, he received a ban of 50 percent of his match fees.
